I know it was discussed, but I never heard for sure, nor have I found any info if the new Indiana Jones trailer will be included with Beowulf. It will most likely be named something completely ridiculous, but I was curious if anyone knows for sure if it will be with this movie?

According to IME, no. "Sweeney Todd" will be the attached trailer and there is a whole raft of enclosures, but Indy isn't one of them.

By the way the full name of the new Indy film is "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

Yes, I know the complete title, but as demonstrated (and I won't get into this with you again) you got the idea by me simply calling it Indiana Jones.

Yes it is....however, studios seem to feel compelled to rename trailers to something even more ridiculous to hide them from.... something. Theft maybe? I dunno.

I didn't realize you were referring to a "code name" on a trailer. Like Mark, above, I thought you were talking about the movie's title.

I've never seen a code-named trailer. Saw a code-named one-sheet once (Star Wars Ep. I was code named on the shipping tube).

I haven't seen any code-named trailers either.
There was that one un-named trailer involving what was supposed to be home video shots inside a party in New York that evolved into the Statue of Liberty's head rolling down the street...well, it was named but the movie was yet untitled. [Confused]

From what I've read online the attached trailer is going to be for JJ Abrams movie that was teased at on the front of Transformers. Its a full 2 1/2 min trailer.

Wasn't it Cloverfield or something like that? Rumor was that is a Godzilla or monster movie of sometype. Still not sure.

I'll bet one of those trailers Mike listed, that we haven't heard about, might be the Indy movie. Episode III was name something funky too when it came in the can with The Incredibles. I don't remember what it was called though.

Cloverfield is the name officially used in the credit info at the end of the trailer. Caroline is a 3-D only teaser trailer on Beowulf.

IME made a typo. It's actually Coraline not Caroline. I searched Coraline and it appears that it's going to be released in 3D (hence the 3D trailer).

The only 2 movies on the list I've never heard of were Caroline and Journey. No info on either one of them on imdb.com, at least. So it could be true.

I think it's stupid to do that without at least informing the theatres. When that Star Wars poster came in with the code name on the tube, the thing sat in the store-room for 2 months until I got curious enough to take it out and look at it.

I hope they don't expect all of those trailers (in addition to the usual TV commercials and other stuff) to run before the movie. Judging from some of the show time listings I've seen, quite a few theaters expect to fit the feature and the trailers (not to mention clearing the auditorium and filling it with new customers) within 2 hours and 30 minutes. Is that possible? It looks to me like at least a few trailers will have to be left out of the pack.

Journey is also known as Journey 3D as well as Journey to the Center of the Earth, it's a remake from New Line Cinema starring Brendan Frasier. The 3D trailer bills the movie as "the first live action digital 3D movie."

They don't. Every venue (or the parent company thereof) is free to pick and choose from the pack. The only one you're really "expected" to run is the attachment, but even that is cut off in a lot of places, especially if they don't plan to play the movie.

From the review of the trailer for "Cloverfield" that I read over at Aintitcool.com there is a big monster and a bunch of little ones. I'm putting my money on the fact that its not another Godzilla movie. I do like the whole using "home movies" aspect of the film. I know I can't wait to see it tomorrow night.

"Sand Dog" was the code name for the first Revenge of the Sith trailer. On the DTS disks it was called "Sand Dog Nostalgia." Since almost everyone (including a bunch of people here) was thrown off by that, the second trailer's code name ("Bosco") was left off of the trailer itself, although it can be found on the DTS trailer disks from that time.

The first Attack of the Clones trailer, which was on Monsters Inc. was called "Breathing." I'm not sure if you consider that a code name or not. The second and third trailers for the Attack of the Clones were called "Black Eyes A" and "Black Eyes B." "Black Eyes" also appeared on the heads and tails of some of the AOTC prints, along with "Daddy Long Legs" on other AOTC prints.

After thinking about it today while building up films. My guess is around Christmas and Dreamworks has Sweeney Todd coming out. Now I don't know if Indiana Jones is going to be Dreamworks but thats my guess.

If they are smart, they'll get one thrown in with National Treasure:Book of Secrets. The two films are after the exact same audience.

It wouldn't suprise me if it doesn't show up until Cloverfield opens in mid January. It could show up on Sweeney Todd since Paramount owns Dreamworks.
