Greetings & Salutations! Well, as the main subject, How is the movie Juno (2007) doing at your theatre, if you are playing it? The reason I ask is because I have been having nearly sold-out shows at my theatre. The movie originally opened in Theatre #2, one of the smallest auditoriums, then was moved to Theatre #6 (which seats about 120), then, it was officially moved to Theatre #4 (which seats 298). My GM didn't expect such a large turn-out for this film, hence, the reasons for the print swaps.

Anyway, word of mouth must have been really good to get more people to see this movie, at least to my theatre. So, how is it doing at your theatres?

My theatre opens it January 4.
Sounds like I better give it seats.

We've been playing Juno since before Christmas. We opened it on 2 screens, #10 (153 seats) and #14 (363). While it did OK, we ended up giving #14 to "Charlie Wilson's War" which has been doing gangbusters, moving Juno to #4 (186). Juno seemed to do okay in 10 & 4 until this weekend where it really has taken off - we had 4 sellouts last night. We've now moved it back to a big house at 363 seats.

We opened it in cinema #5. It moved to cinema #6 when the roof started leaking in cinema #5. Not sure where it is now.

We opened it in theater #1 a week ago and since then it has done around 80-100 people in the auditorium each day, with it hitting 100-120 during the weekend per show (which seats 210)

Without providing specific details, it is currently playing in one of my biggest houses - which is to say that it is doing well.

Friday to Sunday this week, it has collected an estimated $10.30 million on just 998 screens. That was easily the best per screen average in the top 10 ($10,321 per).

Everyone that I have talked with on exit has loved this movie.

I, too, have heard a lot of people say that it was great, especially those talking on their cell phones while leaving the theatre. Makes me want to see the movie as well.

It is the biggest grossing film we have at the moment. it did better than National Treasure in its opening week.

The movie is doing so well that it was moved from #4 (our 298 seat auditorium) to #10 (our 625 seat auditorium). Maybe I'll see it on Monday after my booth shift.
