Gold Medal makes a couple of "PopClean" poppers, one an updraft, the other downdraft. Each has a HEPA filter, oil pre-screen, etc.
Has anyone out there had any experience with these? Good, bad, or indifferent? We're at the point where we need to lock down equipment. We have money budgeted for a popper up to the cost of a PopClean model. But clearly, if they don't "clean the air" as well as they claim, we'll go with something like a Pop-a-Gold.
The concern with improving air quality relates to long-term operator health and the effect the air-born oil particles will have on the soft furnishings (including wall hangings) in the concession area. We would rather pay a little more up front than pay more on the backend with more frequent steam cleaning, fabric changes, etc.
If anyone even knows someone who knows someone who might be willing to take a call for a brief conversation, I would appreciate the contact.
Should anyone want to give me a call about this,
.
David
