The movie has been out a week and they are releasing the Extended Cut?!?! The teeny boppers may be dumb enough to go back for more, but will their parents sit through it again?

As I'll be playing it starting this Friday, I checked when I got that email and was told that I'll be receiving the "extended edition".

The timing suits me fine. Any kiddies who just couldn't wait can come here and watch it again.

Not an issue for me since we'll be dropping it Thursday. Not many people coming to begin with, so I don't think it's a big deal. What I see as a potential problem is theatres that holdover for week 3 and somehow miss the information about the extra footage.

A couple of months ago I started getting emails from several people (I assume young teenagers) asking if and when I would be playing this One Direction movie. I remember one saying that she wants to "see this with my besties and I don't want to have to travel to do it". Besties?

I have never before received so many emails from what at least appears to be a significant number of different people asking when I will be playing a movie. Which won't necessarily translate into butts in the seats, of course.

Why does this surprise anyone? They did the same 3-weeks-later-director's-cut thing with the Bieber concert movie.

Does "Ripping off the fan base" count as a teaser title?

Only if I put a question mark at the end [Wink]
