Two adults and two kids are coming to the show tonight. Mom is the first in the door, she pays and gets the 3d glasses. Suddenly there is a screech outside. Apparently Dad was unloading the kids and one of them fell out of the truck and broke his arm.

Off everyone goes to the hospital, and I didn't have a chance to give them their money back. I just put it aside and maybe someone will come to get it. Maybe they'll come to the show tomorrow night.

Update: I just got an email from the kid's mother. The kid is ok and they will be coming to see the show either tomorrow or Thursday since he (the kid) really wants to see it.

Never a dull moment around here this week, it seems...

Was the family in one of those Ford F-whatever extended cabs with 4 doors or similar truck? (Toyota Tundra?) They are not that easy for kids to get in and out of.

Fortunately you are in Canada. Here in the USA, you would have gotten an email from the family's lawyer informing you that they are suing you for not putting up a warning that falling out of a truck can cause injury. [Smile]

YEP! Good ole Ambulance Chasing Bottom Feeder USA Lawyers can always find a Loophole to be Sueing Somebody for Something. All they care about is the third they get for whatever amount they settle on.. Got no use for them...

Amazingly we once had a lady fall down our stairs in our lobby and I believe she busted a tooth out. There was a significant amount of blood on the floor that needed to be cleaned up. I don't think the floor was slippery or anything, she just misstepped. As far as I know she did not even attempt to sue the theater or the company itself. I was kind of blown away by that since suing people is as common in our society as eating. Makes me respect the woman more and feel even more bad for her injury.
