Anyone going to run the "Back to the Future" trilogy that's being offered by Universal on 10/21/15? Apparently that is the day that Doc Brown and Marty officially went 'back to the future'.

I am guessing they are going to do some sort of 30th anniversary Blu-Ray release or something too.

If Reddit is to be believed, then the trilogy is being shown at the location of the original Twin Pines mall. I find that pretty cool.

I watched the first movie on Amazon Prime last night.

I remember seeing II when we played it and not being able to make much sense out of it due to all the various iterations of the characters. Maybe I should try watching it again. I do remember seeing a lot of bad reviews on that one which probably made me less eager to see it.

I never did see III, but remember the reviewers said the series got back on track with that one.

I thought 2 was the best of the three; more or less concentrating on how BIFF(Thomas Wilson) became a multi-millionaire and let the City go to hell. Didn't like 3 at all.
Going back to The Wild West Days wasn't appealing at all. I have the Trilogy on DVD but BTF 3 will probably never get played [puke]

We ran the trilogy and had a much better turnout than I expected for a mid-week event.

We had a great turnout also. Having the DeLoreans out in front grabbed a lot of people's attention and we actually had a respectable crowd for all of our films, not just the "Back to the Future" marathon.

I love Part II. It's got a smart script that takes the first film and twists it in interesting ways.

Part III annoys me, not because it's set in the old west, but because of its goofy tone.

The original is a masterpiece. There's nothing else like it.

Sold out at my theater as well. Cocktail special and popcorn proceeds went to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
