We're getting ready to replace our 40+ year old Creators popcorn popper. It's a 32oz pedestal cabinet popper.
Except during the summer kids shows, we rarely pop more than two batches a night. So not really heavy use.
What are your experiences with suspended poppers? Are they better or worse than pedestal poppers? Easier to use, clean, repair? Longevity? How tall do you have to be to use one?

Cretors and Gold Medal makes excellent and small, counter top poppers.

Cretor's Merchant poppers of 12 to 20 oz units are good for this. Gold Medal also fills the bill for this range.

This 14oz Profiteer would be a good size for your location,.

Smaller poppers have a good duration to them since they only need 120V to operate and a person over 5ft tall can do a countertop popper with no problem.

If you want to know how old a Cretors is, the SN's first two digits is the year the unit was manufactured.

We purchased a 32oz Cretors suspended Mach 5 a couple of years ago. We are quite happy with it other than a few sharp edges where they should not be, 20 more minutes building the popper and a couple extra gussets for bracing would have made a big difference. Our shortest employee is about 5' and has no problems other than cleaning the top of the back glass.

The 32oz kettle is a bit oversized, but we wanted to be ready if we decide to expand in the future, I have it set up to pop 24oz at a time and it is perfect for our 450 seat theatre 99% of the time.

Monte, it just has a standard filtered exhaust fan.
