From what I can see on the Wikipedia page, I'm struggling to find any way in which it's going to affect theater concession stands that much. If I'm reading it correctly, the act appears to be mainly about loosening restrictions on GMO foods in an attempt to boost New Zealand's export market for food products.

The new Act covers a lot of ground, not just exports and imports.

If I complete the form according to what I would guess would be suitable for a cinema with a standard concession stand, it would end up in National Programme 3, which qualifies as "higher risk" and places it in the same category as:

- brewers and distillers
- food additive manufacturers
- fruit drink and flour manufacturers.

Nobody has yet said: What actions or changes are required of you to "comply"?

Courses for staff? Special gloves for handling the popcorn? Temperature monitoring and logging for the butter? Something else?

It looks like a bucketload of paperwork that covers procedures, record keeping, staff competence etc.

Ah, great. Procedures, paperwork... Because those things so often reflect the actual reality of things...

So, every cinema has to become an ISO certified Popcorn Production Plant?
