There used to be a 4 screen cinema in Garbersville, CA. I can't find any kind of listing for it. I can't even find a mention of it on the internet. Does anyone know when it closed? The last I knew of it operating was in 1998.
Thanks, Mike

Yeah, even CinemaTreasures only knows of a now-defunct single screen venue.

I remember servicing the Garberville theater when I worked for Harrah's. Single screen, looked like an old Quonset (Nissen) hut inside.

I trust you refer to Harrah's Theatre Equipment in Hayward, CA.
Jerry (or Gerry) was a very nice person. I met him on a few occasions. I also recall Dennis who worked the front desk of the business. They were nice people.

Jerry is still in business but working out of his home in Nevada. He still has the theatre in Heavenly Valley at Tahoe as well.

He is still with us last I heard. I saw him at party very recently.

I guess no one remembers this theatre. From what I can remember, the lady that operated it had formerly operated the ABC Cinema in Fremont, CA. It probably went by the wayside due to the cost of digital conversion.
Thanks everyone, Mike
