For the extended release of Endgame I'm seeing things like "Tickets on sale now!" and when I look on Fandango I don't see any designation of things being different from the original release. Running time is still the same, no note of a different version...

What gives?

What I read about the re-release was that they added some stuff during the credits, but the movie is essentially untouched.

I got an email from Deluxe yesterday that says that six minutes of additional material go on after the credits.

Doesn't matter to me since I've finished playing it.

"Doesn't matter to me since I've finished playing it."

It probably doesn't matter to anyone. They've been there - done that.

The new extra material should be on the Blu Ray and DVD when the are released very soon. I did not see the movie in a theatre but plan to rent it from Netflix when it is released.

There is an intro to play before the feature saying to stay after the credits for the bonus material.

The movie itself is unchanged.

The bonus material to play after the end credits consists of on-set shenanigans with Stan Lee followed by an unfinished scene that they "loved, but had to cut" followed by a teaser for Spider-Man.

The intro and the bonus material are going to be on the Trail Mix this week, according to the memo.

It obviously matters to me because I asked the question, but thanks for playing.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I had a feeling that was the case it was just not quite clear in the marketing - unless I missed something. Which is always possible.

Thanks

Disney is trying to bump the grosses up more so it will overtake another box office champ from the past, at least that was what I was told. *shrugs*

Maybe they're trying to make up the $30 million they "lost" on the missed predictions for Toy Story 4.

Gotta love those bean counters!

Just watched the bonus content. It consists of:

Spoiler Alert - Click to Toggle

If I paid my $15 in hopes of seeing something new and awesome I'd probably feel a little ripped off. It comes off like DVD bonus material.

Since it came on the trail mix, couldn't anyone just run it with any movie in their trailer pack, lets say? Or sneak it into the ad pack to see if anyone is paying attention there?

You could, but it'd probably annoy more people than it would please. It's strictly for "Marvel completists" only, at least that's my reaction to it.

Remember the good old days when they would have struck a thousand new reel 9s and shipped them out with new DTS disks with blue text on them?

Or maybe even when they would have shipped out small spools of film with specific instructions on how to splice it in to your existing print?

...ah....... the fun.....

All the magic is gone.

It's tempting to throw this in the Spidey pre-show.

It won't make sense to the audience. It has one of the directors thanking people for "sharing this experience with us" and of course it ends with a Spidey trailer. The Stan Lee bit at the beginning is cool though. But casual fans wouldn't care.

I've been putting it on the end of the movies , and asking customers if they've seen END GAME and if they would like to see the bonus content to just stay seated after all the credits. Have many say thank you on their way out .

It was done - and Disney even admitted this - to try and push Avengers: Endgame past Avatar as the highest grossing film of all time.

It didn't work.

Ahh ya it did.

It hadn't when I posted that; it did pass Avatar last week.
