I hope that everyone had a safe and happy thanksgiving. I hope that everyone had a nice dinner with thier families and friends (Those of us who unlike me didnt have to work) and if anyone out theres loved ones could not be with them today well, GO SEE A MOVIE!

you'll get to be around people so you wont be lonely! Now its time to geer up for the busiest weekend of the year at my theatre!

Really? Or is it like everybody thinks all Canucks have gravy on our fries and mayo on hamburgers when most don't? We had our Thanksgiving a month and a half ago, but since I like turkey, I think we'll celebrate US Turkey-Day this Sunday. How do you prepare this stuff?

Heh, I was a good sport.

Even though I had the day off, I stopped by my theater, and left goodies for those that had to work... Specifically two pumpkin pies and about two dozen lemon & poppy seed muffins.

Yes, happy turkey day to everyone. The airline catered a big traditional feast with all the trimmings for everyone working at LAS yesterday. I'm over-caloried for at least the rest of the week. But I'm still gonna eat anyway. Cheers! Or at least Kompai! [beer]

I like it too. Lots of eating and drinking, no shopping (except for food), no major decorating necessary. The cooking is even fun (my wife might not agree with that one).

The only holiday I like better is 4th of July. All the above advantages, plus fireworks!

Recovered from the sleepy turkey lurkey stupor. Now enjoying a Tecate while watching the NY Giants work on losing to the Denver Broncos.

Wow. Just now: Manning hit in the pocket by Elvis Dumerville, fumbles, loses the ball, recovered by Denver. This HD show would be better if NFL Network had the Dolby Digital audio working. It's in blah stereo instead.

What was DIFFERENT about your Thanksgiving celebration this year?

My neighbor brought us a large red/orange/green pumpkin, which I hollowed out; it served as a soup tureen for pumpkin soup my wife made from my scoopings.
She also made cranberry chutney from scratch instead of serving the usual cranberry jell from a can.
I served as sous-chef much more than usual
And "Snuffeluppergus" appeared at our table! (Our grand-niece claimed to be dating a friend for a long time; we all heard about him but he was never seen. Some disbelieved his existance, until LO! he appeared at table on Turkey Day.)
We are all thankful!

What was different? I actually celebrated. I've worked the past 3 Thanksgivings and wanted a real meal again. Had to work the Friday night after but I was able to visit the family and eat. Turns out, my father's been perfecting a mexican soup with leftover turkey for the past few years. It was pretty damn good!
