FUNNY!!!!!
There are around 700 members, but many of these registered and never posted. In the near future I am going to run a script to delete all members that have no posts and will allow the ones that have not posted at least one time in the last 6 months to be deleted by the system as well. I've been holding off to give people a chance to make some post somewhere to stay "active". We'll see how many are left at that point.
All the best, Thomas

The camera was not digital. Brad used a Canon A1 Digital to shoot. Despite the model name, the camera is 100% analog Hi8. Nothing digital about it except for the transitional effects it can do. Good camera for its day. Nowadays Hi8 is barely considered average!

That interview/tour was actually shot 10 years ago. (My original edit of it was lost by a wonderful person whom I loaned the master and only tape to and then efficiently lost it! I am now quite paranoid about backups). The "talent" Mr.Glen Miller was actually one of my college roommates and no, there is no relation. Glen has since gone on to work for Spielberg in his animation division, worked for Digital Domain (did special effects for "Titanic") and has since formed a private company.
Thanks for the heads up Brad.

When I first met Brad, he looked EXACTLY like I imagined he would. But that is probably because he described himself so well beforehand. I actually recognized him when he got off of the plane. Dwayne was a different story. To this day Brad still has to point out Dwayne to me before I will acknowledge his presence
Com'on that's my son, who graduated last May from Boston University. Who in my family sent in that photo?
Joe I awaiting an answer on your new photo. Nose or Finger?
By the way, don't you think Joe did a nice job of adding that QSC logo to your son's shirt? I think it adds a lot to the believeability of the picture.
Also, the expression on "Joe's" face is because the picture was up all day before anyone noticed it! Sean's the guy with the sharp eye on this forum.
They say that everyone has a twin somewhere in the world...well, I know that Ed's is living in Dallas. I will have to call my friend, Walker, Texas Ranger and have him check you out.

Pictures can be deceptive, per my comments after Showest in March. The only part I got right in my mind was the wearing of "Black."
I can't tell how tall he is but in my mind he is about 6'2", weight 225, I thought he would have a crew cut hair style. In the picture he looks shorter and about 160 lbs. I don't know which is correct, I can not tell from the photo.Wears Boxer shorts.
When I met Gordon and Mark at Showest I could not have picked them out of a line up if I had to. When Steve Guttag came by the booth, I knew who he was right away. When I saw Larry Shaw I knew who he was right away, of course I have known Larry for a number of years and we have met many times. The only time I was really in trouble was when my wife came by the booth and I tried to pick her up? You see, when you get on in years like me you begin to forget. Oh! dear, I forgot what I was going to say.
Joe from the picture of your nose and I assume that's you attached to it. You are about 5' 9" and weigh 158 and a half pounds. You wear multi colored shirts, wear Jockey Shorts. Your hair which is rapidly falling out was dirty blond. You are the only male member of film-tech who paints his toe nails.
Dwayne is an all around good guy. People like Dwayne. They Trust Dwayne. Dwayne is 6'1 and weighs 180 pounds. He is athletic and like to play touch football and softball.
He is meticules in his work habits. Brown hair and wears jockey shorts. If he wasn't an projectionist he would join with my friend Cordell Walker on the Texas Rangers.
What is this talent you have for guessing what kind of underwear people wear? What clues do you use for that? It would be fun to come up with a mathematical formulation for guessing underwear type based on writing style or something. I love the bizarre turns some of these threads take.
As for the toenail painting, I've never done that, but on March 1, 1997, I was at a party and a girl painted my fingernails with alternating green and purple, and put a metallic coat on top of all of them. Two weeks later, when I was driving home to my parents' house (about a two hour drive then), I spent the entire trip scraping the stuff off so they wouldn't see it. I thought it was pretty cool, though. It started a lot of interesting conversations while it was on there.
My "conceived notion" of what Brad looks like did not match well the actual Brad. I was expecting an older looking guy, especially after seeing a picture he posted long ago showing film all over the floor in a spaghetti-like pile after a projector failsafe didn't do what it was supposed to (or something).

I told ya my secret of youth chemical worked...I'm 31 and this picture was taken earlier this week. (Note the QSC shirt that was sent to me from ShoWest.)
You don't wear any underwear, do ya Bob?
I have been known to streak through Central Park after Midnight.
You know Brad, I qualified and said you might be shorter. I said 5'9" So go ahead and crucifiy me for three inches.
Now admit it didn't you laugh when Joe said he was 6' tall. His nose alone is 5' 5" so he must be only 7" high. Must be hell for him to try and thread those projectors.
Well, keep up the good work and I promise I will find another thread to comment on.
........and by the way Mr. Miller you havn't answered how a 7 inch man can thread a 35mm projector.
I know he most likely spins himself on the platter and flings himself to the top of the projector. BUT how does he manage to slip through the gate?
Brad wears boxers
Bob wears Tighty Whiteys
Joe...joe....put your pants on!!!

Did I get any right???
Whata bout me??? What do I wear?????

Paul, you did it again, laugh with tears in my eyes.
Ha Ha! Wrong on all counts. I wear T-shirts with sleeves, and don't even own a thong, even though I have hundreds of pairs of underwear of all varieties, materials, and colors, so the question of what kind I wear is a trick question. I recently threw away 82 pairs that were too small and it didn't make nay difference in the size of the collection that I could tell. I had 152 (the strange thing is that my mother counted them and not me!) pairs of pants in 1992 and probably have 300 or 400 now, and at least 200 shirts. Being such a precise, mathematically-minded person, I'm a bit ashamed that I don't know exactly how many of everything I have. I can put most girls to shame with my clothes collection, although I only have 3 pairs of shoes that I can wear.
I rarely change my clothes three times a day, though, as you guessed. I often change outfits at least once a day, though. It really freaks people out in the mall when I walk around for a half hour in one strange, attention-getting outfit, then go home and change into another and come back and walk around more. (I live only 2 miles from the mall so it's easy to do that.)
Strange or outlandish outfits get a lot of looks at the mall and get a lot of compliments and comments, and sometimes laughs. I've found it strange that such outfits never seem to generate such reactions when I go in movie theatres. I've worn leather pants, zebra stripe pants, and all kinds of wild stuff into theatres and the staff and other customers don't seem to notice.
The strangest dressing-up event that I know of for a movie was when Spice World came out. A group of my friends all dressed up in drag, or at least with some feminine clothes on, and went to the Regal Hollywood 16 (it became 18 later) to see it. Unfortunately, I didn't go along with them. If that didn't generate attention, nothing would.
It would be neat to see how theatre staff would react to a large number of people coming to see a movie, all dressed very eccentrically.
A great feat would be to go into a theatre wearing one very noticeable outfit and manage to change outfits somehow during the movie, and come out wearing a totally different very noticeable outfit. That would confuse people. Sometimes I wish I had a twin brother so I could appear to pull something like that. Just imagine what identical twins could do in a movie theatre to drive the staff crazy.
