Gordon McLeod told me about Film-Tech. He's done several installs at Kodak in Rochester, working with Entertainment Equipment Corporation in Buffalo (Jim Lavorato Jr.). I got to know Jim's Dad when I worked at the Grandview Drive-In in Angola, NY, 35 years ago.

I believe it was from the GTS website that I found film-tech. The GTS site was one of the first film related sites that I found while crusing the net one day - I figured that there must be something else to do than check my email and play online games.

Joe Redifer told me the URL and asked me to post. Also, I think we were posting in the Smart projection bulletin board. Bedford turned me on to History in a Can and I sort of heard about Brad there as well. It's all a little fuzzy.

I found a link to this site from "Drive-Ins.com", a site run by Jen and Kip Sherer.
In my search for drive-in stuff, I stumbled across their "links" page. Been back every day since then.

My projection mentor, guru and all-round awesome entity John Wilson pointed me in this direction. I remember saying one day that I wished there was more traffic on rec.arts.movies.tech and he suggested coming here!

In May '99 I became interested in the possibility of re-opening a drive-in theatre in my hometown and started searching the web for info on drive-ins and projection equipment. Somewhere during the search I stumbled over a link to this site and registered. Been lurking here ever since. Although I didn't actually open the drive-in, I belong to a non-profit community organization that did reopen it in 2000! www.hullsdrivein.com

A Yahoo search in May of '99. My first post was in response to the crap Lucas was pulling with revenues from Episode I. I was shocked that the web master answered one of my questions personally. Thanks Brad!

I found Film-tech by searching the Internet for sites on projection and tech stuff etc.Its the only site which has been helpful and have meet via the chat room some good people.

I found this place from HIAC. Oddly enough, I had been an active participant on rec.arts.movies.tech since 1995 and never saw a reference to film-tech on that group.

Interesting, the variety of ways each of us found our way to this site. One sure way to grow the participation is to personally "spread the word" about Film-Tech. If each of us gets a friend or colleague to actively participate, the added diversity of backgrounds and expertise will make the discussions all the more interesting and helpful. If you know someone who has been "lurking", tell them to jump into the conversation --- you're among friends.

I found out about the site from a propoganda pamphlet my manager brought up to the booth for Film-Guard.

Sorry to hear about your marketing failure Brad. Only one person responded out of the hundreds of distributed pamphlets.

I was talking to Warren Blessing and he told me John Eickhof was posting on film-tech, so I took a look and decided to register. It also allowed me to get in touch with John. I met John in the late 70's here in California.
I also saw a post about how you know if you are in California. Not bad.

I first came to the site in Dec. 98 when it was called "Brad Miller and Associates."

I only dropped in to have a look at the picture forum where there were only 3-4 different links. I was (and still am) amazed at the size of Bob Leaders Norelco monsters!

Now I am hooked. Thanks Brad!

NOTE: I had to re-register in 8/99 when the site had to be moved the first of many times....

I found out about the site from one of two places.. an operator at a sister theatre.. or or sound tech.. I forget... But at any rate, I'm an avid user and reader of Brad's products, Film-Tech.com & Film-Gaurd.

*Note to Brad* It's still ok to mail that product endoremenet check to my house! ops:
