Brad and I had an interesting conversation a few nights ago. Would anyone on the forum be interested in seeing concession equipment manuals posted online, either here or somewhere else? Instead of Centurys and Christies, we'd be dealing with Cretors and Gold Medal. A lot of that stuff is hard to come by or requires buying one from the distributor. Repair tips would be great too. I'm sure a lot of us have had to fix one or two oil pumps in our careers. Give Brad your thoughts!

Thank goodness I no longer have to work on concession equipment maintenance, but for those that do, having the manuals and parts lists (especially for older models) would be very useful for many. I know Brad will make every effort to respect any copyrights, and hopefully the manufacturers will be happy to have their manuals posted. At the very least, links to the specific manuals already on-line by the manufacturers would be handy. Please do keep them as a separate menu item from the projection and sound equipment, however.

YES! I would like to see some form of concession manuals available on a seperate section.How many of us have been called upon to fix snack bar equipment in a pinch or during a rush?!
I would like to see manuals for poppers, warmers, and butter machines. At the very least we need good clear schematic diagrams of the popper kettles and popcorn warmers and exploded views of the pumps on the butter machines---it seems as though the snack bar grunts are always loosing the parts in the hand pump on those units.
Older MANLEY poppers are still running in some theaters, so it would be nice to have manuals on those machines. I know Cretors is pretty good about sending out hard copies of manuals in the mail.
Like John says, too, I think that if a manufacturer already has an on-line manual please provide a link to it. There could be a problem on schematics on some of the popcorn poppers as some are much bigger than 11x17.

If anyone has manuals dealing with anything outside of projection and sound that they can send photocopies of, or knows of their existence online, please email me about it. (I will definitely keep it separate so nothing gets jumbled together.)
