Actually I'm sure that the pages you saw had nothing to do with Film-Tech. I have seen instances of browser cache that will make your head spin. And if you use a proxy server, well it has its own cache as well! Could have just gotten the DNS numbers mixed up and given you the wrong cache... who knows?

From the resident film-tech.com DNS dweeb: I haven't touched the zone files for film-tech.com since 1/31/01. If there are any DNS issues here, they are not with my servers, but rather with someone else's ISP. If anyone else sees this, please have your ISP's hostmaster look into this and, if necessary, call me (the phone number is on my web page).

The best DNS reference is the book "DNS and BIND" published by O'Reilly and Associates. ISBN 1-56592-512-2. This should be available at your local bookstore.
How DNS works is defined by RFC1035: http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1035.txt
The actual implementation that most sites (including mine) are running is BIND 8, which is distributed by the Internet Software Consortium; the BIND documentation is available for download from: ftp://ftp.isc.org/isc/bind/src/8.2.3/bind-doc.src.tar.gz (this is a gzipped tar file; you'll need a copy of gzip and a copy of tar in order to read this)

Nope...no search engines...sorry...just the way I always do. It had a page titled www.film-tech.com/f69com from memory. An error message saying the page never existed also appeared.Never mind...all's well now...
