I'm so sorry to read this news this morning.I was raised on the Hanna-Barbera product. I remember Ruff and Ready fondly.
Not to mention all of the MGM Tom and Jerry cartoons... It was the 1970's before I found that he and Joe Barbera actually had lives before TV...I started reading credits on cartoons.
This is a sad day. He will be truly missed. I'm glad he left such a legacy.

It's really quite a shame, I too grew up on
H-B cartoons and you just don't see them anymore. I wish Turner would put them on DVD or video because there are so many I'd like to see again. Any knowledge of any on or planning to go on video or DVD?

I remember watching Huckleberry Hound when it was on the network (with Kellog's commercials) before it became syndicated.

The Cartoon Network on cable TV often shows old H-B shows, including the Flintstones.

I remember back in the 80's we had Hanna-Barberra Land here in Houston.
It was in the spot where Splahtown is now in case any of you have ever been.
My parents still have slides they took of it.

He and Dawes Butler can spend the rest of eternity talking about the good ol' days up there in the great Toon Town in the sky.

Also, Norma McMillan, the voice of Sweet Polly Purebread (from the Underdog Show), Casper (1963 tv cartoons made by Paramount), and Gumby died last week at the age of 79 in Vancouver, B.C.
