This is from a story called "Crime Wins The Prize" by Hy Conrad.
it is a mini-mystery. You get four clues to figure it out, if you can. Scroll down for clues. Solution is at bottom. How good a dectective are you?

The Mystery...
Blake wins a contest he doesn't remember entering and unwittingly facilitates a crime. What happened?

Blake won a weeklong stay at a yacht resort on a Caribbean island.

Blake sailed his boat to the resort. He noticed nothing suspicious.

Blake recently bought his boat at an FBI auction.

He unwittingly helped smuggle weapons to a Central American rebel group.

Solution
The previous owner was arrested before he could deliver the weapons hidden in the boat. His cohorts arranged Blake's prize to get the weapons safely out of the U.S
