Hi all

Do any or did any drive-ins in North America ever have air-conditioning ducts like this drive-in?

I can't recall where, but I've read about this being done back in the day. Apparently it wasn't long before the asbestos underground tubes became rodent housing. Lucky patrons would open up their tube and have a mouse (or worse) deposited on their lap! Urban legend or true?????? The Rex looks to have huge speaker posts, maybe the A/C units are there.........

I've read about the "rodent blowers" in one of Don and Susan Sanders drive-in books. I've got both books, so I can't remember which book it was.

Seems like it would be a very expensive undertaking!

Someday, all the jam-packed, minutely memorized & organized for instant recall & reference things inside will cause John Pytlak's head to just blow up.

Boom! There'll be SMPTE specs, cotton gloves, old movie musicals, light meters, & projector parts everywhere & they'll NEVER be able to clean it all up.

Think about that next time you look at something & realize there may be a danger to remembering just one thing too many.
