No, not a new dish that the lactose-intolerant must avoid.

Someone's left out the 5/25/2001 issue of Entertainment Weekly; there's an interesting sidebar in the story they're running about the smash musical version of "The Producers" now on Broadway.

The show's actual producers (& Miramax producers) Havey & Bob Weinstein are so bucked by the success of "Producers" that "they've been moved to develop a Broadway iteration of their 1989 Oscar winner Cinema Paradiso."

Will it be a musical, too?

Casting call: Projectionists who dance, singers who thread in frame.

We must get Bob Maar to promise us that if it makes it to NYC, he'll report to us about the second act.
