I haven't read it yet, but Mr. Redstone is a shining example to anyone who has suffered devastating physical injury. The son of one of my Kodak co-workers was badly burned in a fire last year, and I told him of Mr. Redstone as an inspiration.------------------

I have known of Mr. Redstone since the late 1970's, and have yet to hear anything negative about him. I saw him on PBS (Charlie Rose) the other night, and I wondered then if he was pushing a book or something.
He seems to be a good guy going by what I saw in the interview. BUT, I try not to let TV cloud my views toward people. Good guy to me could mean ruthless to others.
Of course, ruthless can help you to go far in business.

I never followed up on this, but I heard that when Showest was still in it's early years, Sumner and the one of the owners of our company got into a small tiff inwhich our guy sucker punched the media giant during the closing dinner party. Again, thats just a rumor among some of our old-timers.
