Ok so we have gone through music tastes, I am pretty sure that most of read more than just lamphouse manuals... well at least I hope so. 
So who is it then? Lately I cannot put down Kurt Vonnegut JR. And alot of Raymond Carver. What about everyone else? I hope that this is an intresting one.

Grisham, occasionally Stephen King, Arthur C Clarke, and Anne McCaffrey - I can't wait for the Dragonriders TV series to come out, if it ever does.I just started re-reading the Rama series from Arthur C Clarke last week.

Stephen King and Tom Clancy are favorites. Topical novels are sometimes cool. I still have that first edition of "Primary Colors" by Anonymous --and I read it while having no idea that Joe Klein wrote the book.Although I am biased, I like the books my father has wrote. If any of you are into military non-fiction, I'd give a recommendation of "Marine Sniper" by Charles Henderson. It is currently only in paperback right now (the original hardcover came out in 1986). It is quite an entertaining biography. There is a companion novel "Silent Warrior: the continuing story of Marine Sniper" that was published last year. It finishes off the biography (Carlos Hathcock died of Multiple Sclerosis in 1999) and adds quite a few accounts that were not included in the original "Marine Sniper" book.

Im a Clive Cussler guy myself. No other favorite authors though, other stuff I like to read is non fiction, like true crime stuff (just got through Helter Skelter the other day), paranormal stuff, etc.

Lee Child, Andy McNab, Chris Ryan, James Patterson and one of my all-time faves, scottish author Iain Banks - The Crow Road is among one of my favourite books of all time.As for Lee Child, very nice guy that's as much a fan of his fans as they are of him!
