An article today in the Salt Lake Tribune announced the closings of a couple more sites here in Salt Lake City. Her eis the link to the article: http://www.sltrib.com/08312001/business/business.htm
Doesn't look like there will be much left of Cineplex Odeon at all pretty soon. That will leave no downtown theatres except for Brewvies, a local brew and view. Well in this instance at least the indiependent won out!

EhhhhhGads! I hope at least they spend the 500 bucks to get the correct lens to show 1.33 to 1 film classics at the new location.....

The Broadway Centre is far from closed. As it turned out, the only person the press talked to was the guy from westates. He didn't want anyone knowing that the Broadway was only closed for three days and going into new ownership. It would have infringed on his new trolley square business I think.The Broadway is now open and doing well. I am headed there today to keep the staff in line.
It is a great looking facility.

I'm glad that there is still a downtown theatre running and that there will be something else there other than another Larry Miller mixed up Jordon Crummins(gateway)offering.
