Be sure to check out the book "Silent Screens" by Michael Putnam. The B&W images of closed, shuttered, and converted small town theatres are quite amazing. Great B&W technique is combined with essays by several prominent people including Peter Bogdonovich.
Also included is one of our own Film-Techer's theatres. The ACE Theatre in Wendell, ID is presently owned by John Eickoff. The photo was taken well before John bought it, and no his wife is not in the clothes buisness, a video rental store now occupies the lobby. The book is available at Powell's and Amazon.com

I have the book, excellent! Has John purchased the theatre to open it, or use as a "screening room"?

John gave it his best to make a go of it. He twinned it and all. The Eickoffs live on the premises as well. It would be better if John stopped by and explained exactly what transpired there if he wants to.
