As a result of the death and dissapearance of Photopoint.com, I lost all my theatre picture galleries on line! I have now restored them to another server and ahve divided the galleries by state! Here is a picture from John's collection that is an excellent example of a complaint I've had for awhile now. 
When is Kelmar, Strong or someone going to manufacture reel arms with a variable extension? This particular booth's height would have easily allowed for 6000 foot reels *if* the damned reel arms were not so long. Just look at that wasted space! I've been in that situation more times than I care to remember. Kelmar? Strong? Anyone listening?
(BTW John, that "AW-3 Miniwind" on page 1 certainly doesn't look like a Christie to me.)

Brad:The TECO reel arms (they call them "reel brackets") have adjustable extension for height control. We used them in several theaters with low ceilings for large reels.

John, Rumor has it that Photopoint will be comming back(again)via Epson. They were a silent partner in it.

Hey I remember those TECO arms from the late 70's & early 80's do they still make those....they were great !!

Brad, that picture is an illusion! due to camera angle! They do fit 6k reels at the angle shown, however, a 6k reel would not fit with the arm straight up! Ken...The TECO arms were ok except they had the fixed drive pins for the reel (2 each) thus some house and today's plastic reels would not fit unless you were to saw off the pins, drill and tap the drive arm for an adjustable locating pin. And of course the 'split film failsafe' that Teco made was junk!!!

Thanks Brad...I looked, you are correct, that is a LP-270 in booth #1,
the miniwind is in booth #2 and I seem to have lost that image somehwere! It was getting quite early in the AM when I finally got that posting done!!! Good eye!!!------------------

If one removes the second drive pin from the tecco arms they work great
