Im off work today and have decided to watch three movies in a row.
This decision came when I found out that we are losing one of our Brotherhood of the Wolf prints this week, and they want to pick it up THURDAY morning so they can have it to some theatre up north by Friday morning, so we need to have it torn down tonight.
It starts at around 10:15 and ends at like 12:50 (i could be wrong...dont remember the exact run time).
I figured Id just watch it and when it's over, go upstairs, tear it down, and leave.
I also wanted to see Ali before it leaves, and since we're losing it also, and it plays only at 4:50, I was planning to watch that today also.
That leaves me with this three hour gap between movies, so I checked the schedule to see if there was anything worth seeing during that time, and saw that In the Bedroom starts just as Ali is finishing.
So I'll be watching those three today.
I've not heard much good about Ali, so I'm a little worried about that one, but I like Michael Mann, so I'm gonna see it.
I've heard good things about In the Bedroom, except for two people who told me it was boring, but I really dont take their word for it anyway.
I've also heard mixed things about Brotherhood of the Wolf, so I'm hoping for the best.
Has anyone else ever done this?
The las time i did anything close to this was when we had a lock-in back in the summer of 96.we had 5 prints of Joes Apartment, Supercop, Adventures of Pinnochio, Jack, and Kingpin biult up that day.
I think we had two people watch Pinnochio, and then we had three different groups of people watching Joes Apartment, Supercop, and Jack, which I think was started a little later that the rest.
Joes Apartment and Supercop were about the same length, so when they finished, the people stayed in their auditoriums, we switched the prints, and played them again.
I watched Joes Apartment, and started watching Supercop, but didnt like supercop, so while it was playing, I moved prints and changed marquees.
After they had played the second time and Jack was over, we all watched Kingpin.
W left the theatre at 7 AM. It was cool.

I think my record is 4 in one day, done at least twice; once was People Under The Stairs, Fievel Goes West, Beauty and the Beast, and Addams Family, then later Alien 3, The Player, Lethal Weapon 3 and Encino Man.

On December 18th I watched Vanila Sky (2.5 hours), and Lord of the Rings twice to check both prints (3.25 hours each). I watched Vanila at 1:30, then built up one print of Lord, attended out employee Christmas Party pot-luck, watched one print of Lord with all the employees, and then screened the second with a friend. It wasn't so bad, 9 hours worth of movies and I got out of the theatre at 1:30 in the morning-12 hours after I'd gotten there. Now if anyone else can tell me a better way to spend a day off I'll give them a cookie

I've watched four films in a row several times at film festivals. I think I've even done five once or twice. This isn't my preferred way of watching films, but festivals usually have once-only screenings of most titles...

I've done 4 in a row before. Back when I worked at a 3-screen theater we had 4 prints, on my day off I went down and watched them all (I guess I was pretty bored). I can't remember any of the movies except Toy Story 2 so I guess the others weren't that good!------------------

Anyone try and watch "war and peace" 3 times in a row. I was in that damn booth for 7 hours helping run a shrunken russian print in russian color. good color, but man it ran loud on those norelco's. Had to walk around with headphones on to protect my ears.Josh

I've done 4 in one evening (from 7:00 to 2:00 (midnight show), 4 Imax films + a feature in one day, and, personal best, 2-70mm giants (at least in length) in Detroit...Short Cuts (187 min) + Gettysburg (261 min) for a total of 7 hours and 27 minutes. Caught NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS the next day before heading back.

Well, technically, youre not locked in, nut what we did was stay there all night and watch movies.
I think we might have bartered pizza or something, too.

When I worked at the Grandview Drive-In, we had "dusk to dawn" film festivals. Depending on the time of year, we usually showed five or six features in one night. Being a single screen theatre with changeovers, I usually watched most of them, unless the picture was really a

I have done 3 in one day a couple of times, not 4 yet.On my 21st birthday i did 3 films in 3 different cinemas. Must have been about 5 or 6 bus rides.

My personal best is 5. 12:05,1:50,4:10,7,9:30 shows. This was a time where there were a few 85 - 90 min. movies out. Even had time to go to lunch between shows. Boy, that cinema was sorry for all the "free refills" I cashed in on.
