Most of you will have seen Vanilla Sky by now (or at least some of it). IF YOU HAVEN'T AND WANT TO, DON'T READ ON - SPOILER! I liked it, but i loved the soundtrack. Do any of you know the artist and title of the track played while Tom Cruise and his Tech Support Guy were riding the elevator, while Tom was getting everything explained?
Thanks!

"Ladies and Gentelmen, We Are Floating In Space" by SPIRITUALIZED.Great band to see live.
I saw them open for RADIOHEAD back in '98.

The song at the start of the ride was "Doot Doot" by Freur. Even the rhythmic cricket chirps were part of the song, circa 1983. As soon as I heard the cricket sounds in the movie, I recognized the song.

Were there two congs played in the elevator?
I dont remember, but if there were, there was one song with spacey guitars and a guy singing "All I want in life is just a little love to take the pain away."That was tthe Spiritualized song.

Thanks James, as soon as i saw your post i downloaded the Spiritualized track you mentioned, and if i remember right, that track is used at some point on the end sequence. Digging further i found the track i was after was indeed Arthur's suggestion, 'Doot Doot' by Freur. Although there are a few tracks merging into each other, another one being 'Sigur Ros - The Nothing Song', that is one of the tracks being played on the rooftop scene.Typical that all the tunes i was looking for are missing from the soundtrack CD! I finally found all my info on Cameron Crowes website (i'm not sure if it is official or not) www.cameroncroweonline.com

Yea it is Sigur Ross - The Nothing Song, and it is also known as Sigur Ross - Njosnavelin. The song has not been recorded yet, and Cameron had to ask Sigur for a live version. The version of the song in the movie is live, and after MUCH looking, I finally found the mp3 on the web. If anyone would like it give me an email.
