The dot and circles illusion is very similar to the effect I notice while watching anamorphic scope movies. This is most noticeable in scenes when the camera's focus is racked from extreme foreground to infinity background. Weird!

LOL! That horizontal-line one is a video projectionist's nightmare come true. BTW the left brain/right brain one is commonly used as a screening test for airline pilot applicants. Timed, they use it as a measure of an applicant's ability to handle stress.
