Have just read about disappointed people, turned down when asking for tickets for the Oscar Gala. -None of the articles, i've read, tells about the reason for going to a 2.500 less seats than normal.
Anbody know why ?Per

I believe the new Kodak theatre that is its new home is smaller than the shrine auditorium was

I believe the fewer people that watch live, the fewer people will see first hand the load of crap that pretends to be a ceremony honoring the best in their respective fields. Maybe on television a person is more likely to believe the awards actually go to the best actors and movies. ------------------

Sure, sure - That Kodak Temple is smaller -- and that was my big question - Lots of people more than those 3500 seated there, wants to join, -and could have been there on the old location (Chandler) - then why move ? -Or to make the letters a bit bigger - has the old place been closed ? -
Well. -Worst of all is that danish television always send a couple of their own boys to comment on the show - giving us a shitspread of unimportant chit-chat on top of the host and the original speakers - its a mess. -Only way to get it clean is to find some foreign channel sending only the original sound. And tough stuff it is, too -all going on, when every little boy in Denmark ought to sleep - with the big prices given away at 6,30 in the morning - But great fun - anyway, -and exiting, too. I'm still running LOTR one single show a day, waiting, waiting.../p.

The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion seats about 2700 in its Oscar configuration which does create more of a problem thatn the new location. The Shrine is hoping to lure the Academy back next year with a multi-million dollar refurbishment.

Was it Shrine, then - last year ?What i read, was that they offered more than 5.000 seats last year....
