Universal Studios has given the green light to Michael Mann to write and produce a feature length version of the infamous Miame Vice television show. Micheal Mann may direct the feature, however at this time he has not stated as to his intentions to do so or hire another director to handle the helmer duties.The feature will be updated to current day standards, and it is not known if Don Johnson or the rest will return in any capacity.

Another F***ing 80's TV Show on the big screen. What next ALF the movie? He seems to be making a come back. Speaking of which, what ever happen to the A-Team movie that was suppose to have been in pre-production a couple of years ago?

Stephen J. Cannell ( Executive Producer and Creator ) is taking his sweet time. Apparently the right script isn't available and casting decisions are holding the project back. One movie scoop site is reporting that the guy who wrote that Steven Seagal movie a few years back, The Glimmer Man is supposed to be writing and directing the picture.

I really don't think that the origonal cast plays ANY factor in any Big Screen adapation of a TV show. Hell they wanted to get the TV cast of Mission Impossible for the first movie so that they could kill them all off. Lets see casting the A-Team... Anthony Hopkins (though he is getting up in years), Ving Rames, Steve Buscemi and George Clooney.
