Our copy of Episode II arrived tonight at 9pm (very unusual to get a delivery at this time)I wasn't about at the time, but apparently our duty manager spoke to the guys from Securicor (which is the company that picks up and drops off our films). The van was full of copies of Star Wars, destined for cinemas throughout Scotland. The van driver told our guy that EVERY copy had a different 'coded' title. Ours was 'Daddy Long Legs'. He also said that it was like a military operation, and all over the country the prints were going out at the same time. I don't know how much i actually believe, but if it is true, Lucas is a much bigger prick than i thought. If we were closed and they dropped the print outside the doors overnight, i think the worst thing that could happen is a dog pissing over it. On second thoughts, that may well be quite apt.
PS. Reports of Securicor staff armed with sub-machine guns on the authorisation of G Lucas are greatly exagerated

I highly doubt that is the case, as "Daddy Long Legs" is what the private screening I am to run tomorrow is called.

Too bad I'm not a film pirate. I don't think they fooled many of us ol' timers with this one.

My box was labled Daddy Long Legs, but the heads/tails said "black eyes". Why even label the print if its not going to be helpful?

I personally have a problem with fake names on the leaders. Go ahead and mislabel the cans all you want as far as I'm concerned, but down the road someone is going to be looking for a print or negative of Episode II or Lord of the Rings and won't be able to find it! This happened about 5 years ago when Fox was going to strike the GCC Northpark a brand new print of The Abyss Special Edition. Turns out the lab couldn't make us that print because THEY LOST IT! But wait, they were able to find the Abyss "theatrical version"...but that's not what the order was for. No wait, think about it. Cameron re-cut the negative to create the "special edition" and that edit got filed back into storage under the "theatrical version" name. Oops! As it turned out they had it all along and finally admitted their error. Anyone else see similar things happening with stuff like this?Besides, so long as the depots are going to continue to blatantly label the cans "STAR WARS EPISODE II - ATTACK" I think people will be able to figure it out. Duh!

Anyone still running "Changing Seasons"? Hehe. Maybe this fake labeling thing will turn into a new trivia game. You can't enter the booth unless you know what the movie was called on the cans or the leader.

The letter from Fox inside of the film boxes stated that prints shipped directly from the labs would have their boxes labeled "Daddy Long Legs." Prints shipped from the depots would have the correct title on the boxes. All prints have their leaders labeled as "Black Eyes."The movie was already out on the net two weeks before it opened, I don't see why all this foolishness was necessary.

Ah ha, Theatres should have been so lucky as to actually receive prints of "Daddy Long Legs", Its a much better film than "Attack Of The Clone Job".

What was up with shipping this in a box rather than in regular cans? Actually, I kind of liked the idea _if_ they can keep the boxes in good condition. They seemed to be of fairly high quality.

...except that 7 reels plus trailers in one box is a bit hefty. And no tie-straps to keep medling concession people out.

I'd call 7 reels in one box more than just 'hefty'! 
It would have been nice if there were two handles on the box, it was a pain in the @ss lugging a whole print around on just the one handle!
