Too much of the rest of the film is given over to a romance between Padme and Anakin in which they're incapable of uttering anything other than the most basic and weary romantic cliches, while regarding each other as if love was something to be endured rather than cherished. There is not a romantic word they exchange that has not long since been reduced to cliche.

No, wait: Anakin tells Padme at one point: "I don't like the sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating--not like you. You're soft and smooth." I hadn't heard that before.

He's sitting in the cockpit of the one looking right at you. I've watched the part several times since reading this, and I have to say, an arguement can definately be made that it's Homer.

While i very much want to believe its Homer from the 3d episode, i can't help but notice that the stormtroopers helmets have a very homer-esque shape to them. I've watched it several times though and have convinced several of my staff that it is homer.

I am convinced now. I have seen it close up on one of our biggest screens several times. He does not look like Homer too much toward the end of the shot, but if you look out for it and catch him as he enters the scene, it's most definately Homer.

Finally! A reason to watch this movie!

George, all is now forgiven. Anyone who likes Homer enough to put him in their movie is OK by me!
