Anybody know why when I log onto some BBs or Google and I type the first word, then hit <space> it thinks I've hit the <return> key? This drives me nuts. I have to watch my fingers while I type and I'll look up and see that everything I've been typing is in cyberspace somewhere, but not on the screen.
What's the deal with that?------------------

In Windows, you can "click" a button with a spacebar if it has a dotted line around it. Same with checking a check box. Sounds to me like somehow that button got highlighted, so when you pressed the spacebar it was clicked.

On my machine, the spacebar is the same as the page down key when not in a text-entering mode. This is an IE thing, yes?

Wha? I think you should just throw your computer away and purchase the most expensive computer available at the moment. If that doesn't solve your problem just keep repeating until it does. 
Actually I've never seen this problem, in Mac or Windows 2000 (can't talk about other Windows OS's since I refuse to use anything but 2000), in Netscape, IE, or Opera. I think someone has been tinkering with your computer maybe?

I've seen it too, but have no idea why that happens. I'm just going to wait for Scott to answer. Scott knows. Scott knows everything.

No idea. Brad's just saying that because I haven't done some stuff that I've promised him would be done over a month ago. Suggested workaround: don't use the spacebar.
