Multilpy by 1.022 and then divide by 24,900.

The result is the (approximate) number of times around the world all the film that has ever run through your projectors would reach if you strung it all out, end for end.

Yes there are some reasons why this would be inaccurate:

• Are readings on your meters accurate?
  
• Dosen't account for hours racked up during installation and testing, etc.
  
• Don't know if your meters have "turned over".
  
• The distance around the world is measured at the equator. (My figure is from memory I don't know what the exact, decimal accurate, measure is unless I look it up.)
  

On the whole, your average 10 screen theatre that runs 4 or 5 shows in each house per day will rack up enough film to go 1/2 to 3/4 the way around the world every year. In 5 years, it would be safe to say enough to go around the world 3 or 4 times!

(number of prints made is usually published in the Hollywood Reporter)

For example, 5000 release prints of a two hour movie uses 54 million feet of 35mm print film, not including leaders.
