Scott (or anyone else in Boston)

Is this theatre still operating?

Nope--closed in February 2001 (if I recall correctly). This was one of the first closures when Loews declared bankruptcy.

Personally, I always thought it was a dump, but I know that some liked it. There's a photo of it in its current state on http://www.cinematour.com/

Nikelodeon Theatre Was and as far as I know is still owned by Boston University. Even when it was operating as a commercial theatre at night, during the day the auditoriums were used as lecture halls and classrooms.

Bob,
One of my patrons told me about this theatre during a recent phone conversation. She informed me that this particular theatre always seemed to have a more "art oriented" genra of films. She also stated that it was almost directly across from BC (or BU I forget which she said).
