That's one of those evil reels where the drive hole doesn't line up on a Christie MUT too. Fox used them for awhile before they wised up.

That second picture in the auction for the film can almost looks like she's saying, "Here's your movie!"

Now if ETS or TES hired people like THAT to bring the films, it would make up for all the other problems. [Big Grin]

Surely it's the same girl modeling on the other items.

The thing about the old SMART catalogs was that there was something similarly amateurish about the models. Probably employees. Not that that's bad. Real is better than phony any day.

Brad, the Kodak reels are my favorite reels. Compared to the rest of the crap that I regularly receive, like exploding Fox reels and old rusted metal reels, the Kodak ones are like a Goldberg house reel.

Not the ones I'm thinking of. Models wearing their best business attire, sometimes sitting on or leaning against the product. Pre Photoshop. Besides, why go to all that trouble to fake ordinary looking folks next to your gear when you can easily shoot real ones?

Steve, I'm not sure I know which ones you're talking about, then. Some nice-looking girls, but not heartstoppers? I see your point, but there are ho-hum stock libraries, too, and it's not hard to composite a shot of someone leaning against something, if all you have to choose from in the front office are guys or school marm types. [Razz]

I'm sure they could've used local talent, it's just that I heard they didn't. Of course, my source could be mistaken - Oscar?

Smart has had a graphics department in-house for quite some time, and Photoshop's been around at least 10 or 15 years. It's only been popular with amateur and home DTP applications in the relative few years since a PC version came out.
