This is a great thread, but I am afraid where another post about personal hygine could go............be afraid be very afraid. I am one for taking that last step into the gutter
OK - you asked for it!
I have this screaming case of the "Ring Of Fire"..(a sting of hemorrhoids 4 inches long) Which is the best way to get rid of them?
I wonder if this will fly...Brad, if this is too gross, please feel free to delete it.

Paul, I think you have been rear ended.
Try the OTC Tucks pads found in any drug store. Make sure you keep pads refrigerated. Use in conjunction with Prep "H". Relief is on the way.

Been fighting a bad case of Athletes foot since my summer camp days in the Army. My mother's husband thanks me for it as well. He managed to get to the age of 30 before he met me and my feet.

Paul,
That's nasty!
After a bowel movement - try sitting in a bowl of warm water. Get a pack of suppositories for insertion after this.
Also use double ply toilet paper. If the work toilet has 'penny piched' on single - take your own into work.
Cheers
Chris

I thought that for hemorrhoids, you just rubberband them off so it cuts off circulation and they'll eventually just fall off.
Might be unpleasant to explain the smell to passers-by during the disintegration phase.

I have to admit that I over-exagurated just a little in the orginal post. Seems as though the problem is componded by some of the medications I have to take to prevent angina attacks and other medications to control high blood pressure and colestrol.
They gave me some stuff that is supposed to help, but damn, that stuff tastes terrible.
If I can get off these damn cigarettes, watch my beer drinking, most of the problems seem to go away. I discovered that one time about a week ago that when I didn't smoke for two days, everything was fine.

Yuck!
This thread may bestow you a new nickname and new animated picture unless your careful!
I bet Joe is already at work......
Hey, what the heck, since this is the grossest thread ever on Film-Tech...I'll ad to it.... Back in the humidity based Midwest, I used to get athletes foot all the time, Plus, always on a big, important job I'd get a bad rash in my ass. Rymes pretty good there....Hey, that could be a big hit sung by the Soggy Bottom Boys!! I think Steve K can vouch that it used to happen to me......I was always scratching my ass on job sites. A little talc helped, but since moving here my assholiness has been perfect...nice and dry!
Paul, I sure don't have your problem, couldn't ride my Harley for wind therapy if I did......but you sure have my sympathy....now everyone at Showest will be comming up and asking you about your asshole....to see how its doing....

This may be a gross thread, but it's good to talk about it, i'm sure we've all had gross things happen us at some point?

I've been told that urine, of all things
, will alleviate the aggravation of athlete's foot, and the best tactic for applying that remedy is peeing while in the shower.
Never had athlete's foot, I wouldn't know if it works. Just thought I'd mention it.

Too Bad you can't hear what I am singing. Just for the record it's George M. Cohans "Over There". Joe or Brad must have had a spy in the audience last July 31st. Here's looking
at you!

I may have given up the cigarettes but you'll NEVER get me to give up BOTH cigarettes AND beer!
What the fuck! If I did that I might die of HEALTH!

I am sitting here with my ugly dog, drinking a beer. So I would never give up my beer. I might realize that I have an ugly dog

Kara, Isn't that something Sir Winston Churchill would say?
I heard Mr. Churchill hurled a comment to Lady Astor when she said "Mr. Churchill, I think you are quite drunk!"
Mr. Churchill quickly responded: "Yes, my lady, I am quite drunk, and you are quite ugly! But in the morning, I will be undisputedly sober!"
Another comment by Sir Winston Churchill:
Lady Astor: "Winston, if I were your wife I'd put poison in your coffee."
Winston: "Nancy, if I were your husband I'd drink it."

The latest issue of Scientific American (Feb 2003) has an article on page 74 that shows the evidence to support the hypothesis that moderate drinking can help prevent stroke and heart attack!
Yes, that pint of Guinness you drink every Friday night MIGHT actually be helping to save your life!

Ah, yes. A doctor told me that 20 years ago. TWO BEERS....but he didn't say what size they were supposed to be.
Then 6 months ago, my doctor in the Naval Hospital said the same thing: TWO BEERS.....as long as they are no larger than 16 ounces.

How about I steer this topic in a slightly different direction. Although there hasn't been anyone reciently, it seem that I have always had some employee on staff (always a guy) who dosn't seem to know how to use deodorant properly. Does anyone else have that one person who has a B.O. problem and seem to be compleatly ignorant of it? Also, reguarding more than just one person, how hard is it to properly brush your teeth? Sometimes I feel like carrying a pocket full of mints all the time so that I can start passing them around.
Posted by Mathew Molloy (Member # 666) on 02-01-2003, 11:52 PM:
In defense of the guys with B.O., when I got into my late 20's I began to develop an allergic reaction to ALL deoderants, even those 'magic crystals'. Whatever I tried would make my armpits break out in terrible rashes that itched like an s.o.b.! At last I found this one from a maker called JASON that's an all natural Aloe Gel and have been using with much success for about 6 years now.
I also have an unfortunate (allergic?) reaction to almost all perfumes and colognes - they make me incredibly nautious. Finally found one I have no problems with in small doses and it's Tommy Hilfiger. Due to this problem I have to avoid the perfume depts. in malls.
Yes, a lot of people just don't realize they stink but some of them might be going through what I went through.
