Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! [Smile]

May your glass be ever full.
May the roof over your head be always strong,
and may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead. [beer]

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone.

By the way where did that funky bed spring music come from? [eyes]

It seems to be in sync with Bob's Hoola Hoola dance. I just recorded it my hard drive. [Big Grin]

Happy St Paddy's Day to one and all. My brother Pat and I both celebrate our birthdays today. Pat is 5 years older than me and growing up we heard all the Pat and Mike jokes. Pat wanted a little red wagon and got me instead. I bought him a red wagon a few years ago and now buy him the red wagon xmas ornaments when I can find them.

I believe a little Leprechaun was responsible for it (no, not Brad)! [Big Grin]

He probably used a <bgsound> tag to quasi-embed the music. [Wink]

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is the first time in the last nineteen years that the Jewish fast / feast of Esther (Purim) falls on the day of the Irish festival. Both holidays provide good reasons for drinking, too.
Purim celebrates the foiling of a plot by wicked Hamen of Persia
(now Iran) to destroy the Jewish people. The story is read aloud in the synagogues annually, and much merriment follows, with the tradition permitting drinking until one can't tell the story's Haman from the heroine's uncle Mordechai.

I like the music!--Gerard

My idea of hell would be some sadist putting the Meowmix jingle on their mobile 'phone as its ring tone, and then getting on a very crowded train and sitting next to me... [evil]

Rick, I remembered to not wear green today. I wore green yesterday, I may tomorrow, but today I wore Orange, like a good protestant scots-american.

If I can get everyone to wear blue and white on St. Andrew's Day, I might reconsider next year.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York is absolutely wonderful. The Bars are packed and the sidewalks are getting crowded.

Did you know that there are more Irish in New York than in Ireland.

Please Join me in singing

"Galway Bay"

by Arthur Colahan

If you ever go across the sea to Ireland,
Then maybe at the closin' of your day
You will sit and watch the moon rise over Claddagh
And see the sun go down on Galway Bay.
[And if there's to be a life in the hereafter --
And somehow I'm sure there's going to be --
I will ask my God to let me make my heaven
In that dear land across the Irish sea.

Just to hear again the ripple of the trout stream
And the women in the meadows making hay,
To sit beside the turf fire in the cabin
And watch the barefoot gossoons at their play.

For the breezes blowin' across the sea from Ireland
Are perfumed by the heather as they blow.
And the women in the upland diggin' praties
Speak a language that the strangers do not know.

For the strangers came and tried to teach us their way.
They scorned us just for bein' what we are.
But they might as well go chasin' after moon beams
Or light a penny candle from a star.

And if there's to be a life in the hereafter --
And somehow I'm sure there's going to be --
I will ask my God to let me make my heaven,
In that dear land across the Irish sea.] [beer]

"If I went to one of their shows, I'd get my ass kicked. Good luck! "

Well, it is not really that bad, at least not like it used to be. The Boston Punk/Hardcore scene has really changed and The Dropkick Murphy's in general have changed. They tend to draw a younger teenie bopper crowd, and after tonight I feel like they are abandoning thier original fans as they hardly played any older songs... This band used to play songs called "Fight Starter Karaoke" now they play songs called "Sunshine Highway". [Roll Eyes]
