Dear colleagues. I would be interested in learning what associations there are in the US, the UK and elsewhere for people who have worked in our profession for a long while, 20 years for example.
In Australia we have the Australian Society of Cinema Pioneers, membership is open to anyone who has worked full-time in the film industry continuously for 20 years. (I had the priveledge of joining 3 years ago).
What would be the equivalent or similar to the Pioneers in other parts of the world?

we have something called "the motion picture pioneers", although i have been a projectionist for over twenty years i have never taken an interest in this, i think being a member of this had some significance in the past but now it is nothing - they don't meet no parties, dinners nothing as far as i know - but then again no one has ever offered me an application to join either so....
