Anyone else notice the first link the telephone worker guy in the lift isn't even watching his co-worker get electrocuted? Actual flames surrounding this guy and yet he walks away from it? Note it's on a tripod page?

Looks like [bs]

to me.

FWIW, the Tripod home page belongs to a lineman who has lot of other "legit" material about electrical linemen and safety. I found the site when researching an article about electrostatics in the on-line ESD Journal:

If it is a fake, they did a pretty good job of "finessing" the lighting in the middle photo of the glowing body being the brightest source of illumination. Though I do agree the guy in the cherry-picker seems a bit too calm.

Guys, he was not completely at ground to receive the full potential of the 16kv line!!!! Certainly he coulda survived it. Guarahteed though that his brain is a bucket of mush.

I have seen an episode on Real TV where a hot air baloon flew into some power lines.

That actually happened about 10 years ago roughly 3 miles from where I was living at the time. It was near geneva, Ill. and three were in the balloon at the time. I think one was killed and two were badly burned and had broken bones fomr the resulting fall.
