From the brief commercial I saw, it looked like they were putting a projector into the house. Might be of interest to some of you. The show airs at 7pm Central Time and then reruns at 10pm.

Joe, I caught one episode, where the home owners wanted a western theme in the house. I thought the theme was dumb but what was interesting they had an electrician who wasn't an electrician. It took him a few days to install a simple light switch. I turned out the lied on his application and left the show. I've seen a several reality shows but never where a contestant lied on his application.

If I get home tonight I'll try and watch the projection room episode.

They just set up Video Projection with a pull down screen, although they put what looked to be an old ampro or some other small silent projector in another room as a prop. They did build a neat concession stand and ticket booth in the house but.... A full size projector would have been cool even as a prop, even if non-functional. Given that most people arent film collectors though, the theatre projector wouldn't have been very useful.

I saw a brief glimpse of some split reels on the commercial and I had high hopes. That old projector looked pretty odd with those nice new split reels on it. Oh well.I must say it was one of the most attractive and liveable remodels I have seen on that show.

Does anybody know when this will be repeated? I saw the Monster House with the Tikki Fireplace... it was pretty cool. Also the master carpenter shot a nail through his finger with a nail gun and they showed him removing it (with the screen blurred) but still... you could see the blood dripping through the nice blurred portion.

It looked more like an early Moviola 35mm viewer than a projector to me.

Looked like an eatly Moviola to me, too, Phil.

The amazing thing about that show is how the construction crews almost always manage to get hopelessly behind in the project, then sprint like heck on Friday and complete the job just under the wire (the "Wild West House" gimme excepted). The crew for this episode seemed to be the most dysfunctional crew ever (save for the electrician, the polar opposite of the lying goof originally hired for the "Wild West House" episode) and I thought they would not make the deadline amidst the arthritis, over-sweatted details and emotional breakdowns. Maybe the crew for the forthcoming "Zen House" episode will find inner peace and work like a well-oiled machine.
