Good news for fans of FAMILY GUY. Creater Seth McFarlane is getting the go ahead to work on a pilot for a new animated series tentatively titled AMERICAN DAD.
Details of the show have the Dad as a right-centered CIA agent named Stan, his wife, two kids, their pet goldfish (who happens to be French) and a resident alien, as in extraterrestrial. McFarlane is writing the pilot with former FAMILY GUY staff writers Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman. As was the case with FAMILY GUY, McFarlane is expected to voice several of the new show's characters.
AMERICAN DAD may be ready in time for Fox's fall 2004 season.
Let us all rejoice in the light.
