My subsciption to SpamCop expires in a couple of days. I'm looking for a suggestion of a replacement service. SpamCop is just too darn hard and time-consuming to use.

I do have MailWasher, but would still like to headoff some of 300+ emails I get most every day.

Phil, do you have your own server, or are you running as an end-user of an ISP?? If you are running your own (unix/linux) server, check out spambouncer.org

Are you looking to head it off before it reaches your E-Mail program, or when it is received?

Some ISP's offer spam-filtering systems, and there are software based solutions that step in front of your E-Mail program that detect the spam when you download your mail.

Of course, then you also have the option of switching to something like Mozilla Mail which uses Bayesian filtering built-in to learn about the spam you get and filter it automatically. I'm trying that out right now, and it's pretty good at detecting spam. It's also very easy to handle false-positives, which is important with any solution IMO.
