From Film-Tech's Main Page under "LEVEL 1 NEW ADDITIONS":

quote:
Tell Josh to send his pictures in and you will see more updates.
OK, I'm already sick of that message. [Mad] I want the PICS!

Please sign below to have Josh send in his pics. Hopefully, we can harass him into complying so Brad will get rid of that lame message!

Ummm...PULEEZE! NOT anymore of his "face ID" pics for rotation.

I want to see Josh's equipment! [beer]

No! Wait! That doesn't sound right! I mean pics of his screening rooms and projection equipment! [Big Grin]

I do have some pictures and videos from my theater somewhere but I cant find them anywhere. When I do they're coming right in though.

I don't give a [bs] about Josh's pics, since the internet connection here is too slow to bother with looking at them anyway. What I want is a new message on the front page every day! Like Phil, I'm sick of it after two days. [Big Grin] [Razz]

I would like to take my digital camera into my theatre and get some pics but I don't know who's permission I need.

I guess I could ask Cliff. He is the GM.

We know what you meant Phil... [Smile]

Josh, please send in those pics so we don't have to endure any more threads and posts like this. [Big Grin]

I suppose I shouldn't mention the 500 or so prints Josh gave me to scan for him back when it was still shorts and T-shirt weather in Fargo. I'm about 2/3 through them, I swear!

Posted by William T. Parr (Member # 677) on 01-14-2004, 08:10 PM:

Since when is it ever shorts and T Shirt weather in North Dakota?

Posted by Daryl C. W. O'Shea (Member # 1303) on 01-14-2004, 08:11 PM:

It's t-shirt weather now, I'm sure some people wear shorts at some point during the year.

So we can stop harassing Josh and start harassing Adam, now?

Posted by Daryl C. W. O'Shea (Member # 1303) on 01-14-2004, 08:27 PM:

Absolutely!

Posted by Adam Martin (Member # 641) on 01-14-2004, 08:44 PM:

You're such a tease, Scott.

Posted by Phil Hill (Member # 371) on 01-14-2004, 10:08 PM:

So Adam, like I care how many "Josh prints" you have gone thru?

Josh just needs to send in 10 or 12 pics of his equipment and rooms to someone reliable, god forbid that may be Brad.

End of story! No EXCUSES!

Weren't the pics of his screening room up at one time? I swear I'm not imagining this.... I know I saw them here on FT at some point in time, perhaps in a thread?

You're probably thinking of pictures of Josh threading Brad's old JJ's.

http://www.film-tech.com/pics/bash/bash.html

Of course you can't actually look at those pics since they're missing.

Posted by Dan Lyons (Member # 1454) on 01-15-2004, 01:12 PM:

Nope, I remember a pic of him with some Brenkerts, which i think had some clunky old carbon arcs on them.

Danny

Posted by Scott Norwood (Member # 30) on 01-15-2004, 01:30 PM:

What's wrong with carbons?

Joe Redifier loves Brenkerts. I'm pretty sure that Brad does, too.

Posted by Phil Hill (Member # 371) on 01-15-2004, 02:18 PM:

Danny: I sorta remember a couple of pics like you mention posted waaaay back. Looking thru my "projector pic library" I couldn't find the one one with the arc lamp, but I found the one below. Neither pic could hardly be considered as pics of Josh's equipment and screening room.

BTW: Carbon arcs RULE!

And Scott, I agree with Joe about Brinkerts...they is UGLY!

Obviously Phil is upset that the Brenkert design does not match his home decor.

I have no opinion about Brenkert projectors, having never worked with them. I do like Enarc lamphouses, however.

What a surprise, Phil talking out of his ass again.

Gosh Daryl, since you seem so interested in my ass:

Here Phil, more pics of Brenkerts to cheer you up.

I always liked the look of RCA's BX-60s:

Heck, anything looks good when it's sitting on a Mod 5! [puke]

The photos I have from Josh are of other theaters ... I don't have any photos of his personal equipment.

Nice Hilux 264 anamoprhics there on those brenkerts

Posted by Scott D. Neff (Member # 185) on 01-17-2004, 12:09 PM:

Adam... you should really ask Josh's permission for pictures of his equipment. Sitting outside his bedroom window with the telephoto lense is really an invasion of privacy.

[Big Grin]

Posted by Phil Hill (Member # 371) on 01-17-2004, 02:35 PM:

Well, until we see the "proof", perhaps Adam will use his macro lens he uses for "self-portraits"...

That pic of Josh looks scary...

...like he is undressing someone with his eyes! [eyes]

=TMP=

Posted by Phil Hill (Member # 371) on 01-18-2004, 02:02 AM:

Yeah, it's one of those pics that are taken straight on where the eyes follow you where ever ya move to look at the pic. Spookey, huh?

I feel sorry for any soundhead that has to drive a Brenkert. You could drop a rusted XL on and it would be easier to drive!

Btw, the decorative art deco trim pieces are quite rare.

Well Josh my friend, it's been 24 hrs since we last talked about this. So, as I promised, I'm bringing this back up to the top.

Where are your "equipment" pics?

(Private email would be OK...)

No one cares, Phil. Just you. Josh doesn't have any pics.

But Joe, how many other people do you know that can say they have a TWIN in their house? [Big Grin]

I have twin black cats.

yeah, visiting booth rats have their choice of carbon arc/changeover, or Xenon and 6K's.

I'm working on it I swear, now were's that camera.

Josh

Posted by Phil Hill (Member # 371) on 02-14-2004, 06:48 PM:

Yeah, sure, Josh... I bet you don't have any equipment...

All we ever hear is "references" to it (my CP-whatever is broke...), promises of photos (...now where's that camera?), sounds of a projector running in the background while on the phone. Heck, for all we know, that could be a recording!

We want the pics!

And no fair making a model outta LEGO cuz I can tell the difference!

Those are my only two choices, Josh? Your place sucks! I snub anyplace that doesn't offer halogen light with towers.

Posted by Adam Martin (Member # 641) on 02-14-2004, 08:45 PM:

I've seen Josh's equipment and can attest to the fact that it does, indeed, exist. He is very lucky to have parents who allow him to pursue his interests. Mine were more concerned with the resale value of the house or with what the neighbors would think.

Posted by Phil Hill (Member # 371) on 02-14-2004, 09:45 PM:

Well Adam, You expect us to believe that?

As the "head guy" of Cinematour, I cannot imagine you didn't take pics to add to your big-time pic collection. I'm sure you can be bought...cuz I still see NO pics, just lip service.

>>> Phil

Posted by Phil Hill (Member # 371) on 02-16-2004, 08:17 PM:

OK...I concede. Josh does have 2 screening rooms and the appropriate "equipment".

I will no longer comment on this subject.
