It's not real. It is a computer image created by some dude in Japan. Lettuce photographers are out of a job! Hooray! Ya gotta admit though, it's pretty good.

If the image is indeed CG, it is believable. But with all the time and effort required to do it, I just have to ask: WHY? Nah, I'd just bust out laughing. After all, someone that obsessed with modeling boring objects probably doesn't have enough time to lift weights or anything. No worries about getting my ass kicked!

Only a cabbage-head would do computer-generated images of lettuce.
Maybe CGI lettuce would be good for making salads for feeding computer-generated characters.
