Yeah, Snood is pretty cool. It's actually essentially the same as a game made by Taito and Neo Geo called Bust a Move. That game is with the characters from Bubble Bobble and is graphically spectacular compared to Snood (obviously, it was an arcade). Still, there are many variations of Busta Move and they were all very very addictive. If you're into Mame, you can get them there or there were some versions on the Playstation I believe.

Yes, I do indeed play snood. As soon as the movie starts, I drum on the snood along with the beat of the dolby logo.
(Okay, you know before you clicked the topic that someone was going to crack this joke)

I used to play snood. Until it started taking hours per day out of my life, so I destroyed the computer it was on and bought a new one.

I got a game called Bubbles on my palm pilot, it's pretty much the exact same game except that instead of little totem pole faces, it's just colored circles.

Close dowser before servicing, snood.

WARNING:
Fire or burning may result from close proximity to the Snood area.

Interestingly, when you call a certain place with questions relating to the snood, you get this sort of corrective pronunciation of the word back as snood rhyming with "hood" instead of "food". Save a trip to the dictionary; they all say it rhymes with "food".

will someone please explain what the hell everybody is talking about?
thanks,

I believe the "snood" is the metal shroud (usually in the shape of a frustum) that attaches to the front of the lamphouse, between the lamphouse and the projector head, used as a light shield. Personally, I've always just called it a "snoot."
BTW, congratulations Carl on your "Jedi" status!

The warning "Close dowser before servicing, snood" were on the front of the snoot of early 70's Christie consoles. I always detested being refered to as a snood, although, in retrospect, the comma may have been a paint drip made during the installation....If only I had know then what I suspect now....

thank you, paul. but you only explained what some of these people are talking about. oh well, ignorance is bliss.

To much surprise, this book from a small publisher on the unsexy subject of commas, colons and dashes is proving the UK publishing success of Christmas 2003. There’s good reason for this: it’s witty, thought-provoking, and brief. Lynne Truss is passionate about punctuation.

A panda walks into a bar. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air.
"Why? Why are you behaving in this strange, un-panda-like fashion?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda walks towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.
"I'm a panda," he says, at the door. "Look it up."
The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.
"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

Snood stole hours of my life a few years back. I thought I had shaken the addiction when I traded it for a good Minesweeper fix... but then I was downloading games onto my phone. Lo and behold
SNOOD
was available.
Now I waste all my time in the airport playing it.
Technology rocks.

I remember back when I was Senior in high school. My theater teacher would play it all the time. While the class would mess around and study lines from plays. He would let the students play too, I would purposely be bad at it so he could teach me

I was able to avoid it until for a few years. I heard of its addicting powers (my roommate would sometimes see Snood for hours at a time when not playing) and resisted well until now.
Fun game.
Life is so exciting..

What in the world makes you think I would thank you for Snood?!
Ever since that addicting little program invaded my computer (notice the singular) my life has been unraveling and falling to pieces!
Let's look at what's happened so far:
1. My girlfriend dumped me because I insisted on only sleeping with her if she dressed up as a red snood, preferably joined by another girl dressed as a gray snood.
2. My work performance has decreased due to my strategizing new snood techniques when not playing.
3. I only eat Trix because the fruity colors and shapes remind me of those adorable snoods.
4. My mom now thinks I'm gay because I'd rather play snood than look up naughty websites.
5. I've become bitter and angry, especially on my once beloved AIM, when people try to talk to me (therefore distracting me) while spending time with my precious Snood.
Snood has completely taken control of my life!!
..Now that I think about it, all of these are improvements to my previously dull lifestyle..
Thanks, Nate!
Your superior influence has been a lifesaver! I don't know what I'd do without you. Probably have five girlfriends and a million dollars.
