We have some software we paid an arm and a leg for that does not run properly in most machines. It runs OK on only one windows 98 machine, and one Windows 2000 Pro machine.

We have been wrestling this problem for over a month now, and we still have no solution.

The software developer has not yet come up with an answer - yet. I went so far as to send the developer a machine which the program will not run correctly. He has not yet come up with an answer. We have tried about 10 windows 98 machine, and it only runs in one correctly.

This program I am speaking of needs:

Jet 4.0 Data Support Files
Microsoft Data Access Components 22.7
Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater
Microsoft .NET Framework

When we run a "Print Shopping Worksheets" porton of the RASS program, it tries to load and the error pops up.

I have scoured the web, (so has the developer)looking for answers. It appears to be related to Net framework file, and JIT debugging.

I was looking for a step-by-step procedure in simple layman's terms to make an INI file and a CFG file through workpad and drop it in the application directory. They didn't work.

Ah yes. Yet another clear illustration of what's wrong with the Microsoft development environment model. They make it really easy for any idiot to put a "program" together, and the first time something goes wrong under the hood, they don't have a clue how to help you, because they have no real programming skills.

I feel your pain, Paul. I deal with these same types of dopes all the time, and I can provide a ton of examples, but I won't hijack your thread. Good luck to ya.
