Smarty Jones, the "super horse" from just down the road a bit from where I am, stole the show at the Preakness today winning by 11 1/2 lengths.

Now, on to the Belmont as he tries for the triple crown! Good luck, Smarty! [beer]

I hope Smarty makes it. The horse is a very fine Thoroughbred. And it is long overdue that we have a Triple Crown Winner. Affirmed was the last to accomplish the feat in 1978, only preceeded by a year by arguably the greatest racing horse ever, Seattle Slew.

I'm only responding to this since I am getting into horse riding mode. At this time next week, I will be up in Colorado at my parent's place outside Colorado Springs likely getting thrown off some rather boysterous registered quarter horses.

Express trip to the mud....splat!
