FJN,
This is "Film-Yak". According to the rules, this forum is for anything non-film related. I thought that this was a funny game.

Richard, you owe me 30 seconds of my life back since I actually clicked it.

Sadly, I can actually report about two-and-a-half miles, through the dark, and in -0 degree windchills.

um....I walked about 5 miles in November drunk as all hell. The funny thing is...Most of it was to get to another party

Being drunk is cool. My life improved significantly once I finally got drunk! I recommend it to everybody. [av=m]

Along with the philosophy about violence solving everything Joe, it seems like you've had some fun days.

Well, let's see here.......
Depends on what you drink.
1. If it is a "Coffee Royal" on board Navy-Issue ship in high and heavy seas, maybe a couple of frames before you fall flat on your ass. Ever try walking on the bulkheads when you are sober? Well, try it when you are drunk.
Been there....
2. In the Philippines, about 4 bottles of San Miguel, that'll do the job....You might almost make it back to the ship.
Been there, too.
3. In Japan, about 6 Hot Sake's served at 131 degrees F will knock you on your butt.
Been there again. As a matter of fact, when I was in Atsugi, Japan, we went on a port and starboard drunk.
4. In the USA, three shots of 151 Rum will REALLY do the job. Maybe 150 feet at best.
5. In the USA, a 1-liter bottle of rot-gut wine will allow you to walk about 500 feet or more. However, in the morning, well, that's a different story.

In real life I can only walk about half a mile before I collapse, so if I was drunk I bet I could double that!

A friend of mine walked home, drunk, from a party in the snow. The next morning when we picked him up it looked as if he was running a slalom course. So we guessed that for every mile the journey should have taken, he walked an extra half mile.

Okay.. Okay... I haven't posted in a while, but that was truly the worst waste of time. I couldn't believe I actually clicked the link. But the topic is quite interesting? When you're drunk, how do you know how far you actually went? Like David's friend, I backtracked many times crossing a field. When I had to piss, I lost my bearings and headed another direction. Took me a while to just look for a light to head to. After many lights, and many pit stops, I reached the parking lot which was a quarter mile from where I came from.

I just don't get the point of all this...
After a night out clubbin', I only have to walk 32 ft to my car. No big deal!

You made me shoot beer out of my nose. Now I have to get another.
Umph! Couldn't get past the chair.

Beer out of your nose: that's alcohol abuse! I have a special Polish whiskey mix my Polish family makes and now that's the good stuff. It's mixed with a cherry syrup imported from Poland and the best stuff you'll ever drink. Depending on who you are, you will either pass out, chase it with lots of some drink, get very hung over, or be fine (like me!). By the way, the drink is 192 proof.

Yeah, Phil - Uused to do that, too. But since the Washington State Patrol has come out with road signs that say, "Drive Hammered, Get Nailed."
And, they do....

I have never heard of Polish whiskey. And I grew up 50 miles from the Polish border and have drunk more or less everything they have there.
Posted by Aaron Garman (Member # 1653) on 06-28-2004, 07:15 AM:
I don't know if it is truly whiskey, but that is what the family calls it. It is, in fact, grain alcohol. I don't have a bottle here and don't know how to even write the title on it. I can say it but that serves no purpose here of course. I'll have to ask my dzia dzia (Polish for grandpa)if they drank this back in Poland too, as the family came here in the 1960s. On that side of the family, I'm the first generation born here in the States. I just wish I spoke Polish like the rest of them.

I'm not big on computer games, but I've been known to walk quite a distance drunk. I've been pretty drunk a few times, but never to the point where I couldn't walk. I usually don't seem drunk at all when I am, but it's often evidenced by the fact that I want to go out and explore. One time, I was at a hotel party and there was a waterpark next door. It was in the middle of the winter, so it was closed for the season. Well, I decide to walk over to it and look at it because I had never been to it. To my amazement, the place is practically wide open with no security or cameras of any kind to be found. I walked inside and saw a gumball machine and thought it'd be funny to bring it back to the hotel room. I carry it about a half of a mile back to the hotel room and throw it in one of the beds with a passed-out friend and told him I had found him a woman.
My conscience kicked in though and I actually carried it all the way back to the waterpark and put it back where I found it. That's quite a walk considering I had no jacket (it was about 20º) and the gumball machine weighed about 30 lbs.

Holy Smokes Robert! Hopefully your friend realized it was not a woman before he made love to ...errr it.
So, was it really slipperly to carry back? Eewww!
Also, below are the pics he posted of you after he woke up and you passed out.

Fortunately, he wasn't THAT drunk. I drank cheap vodka and Jack Daniels that night. I wasn't very drunk at all though -- just buzzed enough to find an 'adventure' exciting. When I saw that they had stuff just laying out in the open, I HAD to bring back a souvenir so my less adventurous friends knew where I had been.
