First I was worried I wasn't going to get accepted (since I'm such a loner) but look at me now!
Im new to thing, how do I put up a picture thingie?
Posted by Steve Kraus (Member # 476) on 09-18-2004, 09:20 AM:
Welcome Samantha. You can't put the picture in place yourself but should email one in to Brad Miller, the owner of the site.
Posted by Rachel Gilardi (Member # 1016) on 09-18-2004, 09:41 AM:
Don't worry, you'll be accepted fine. You are female of course...
How old are you? Because if you're under 21 you'll have the horndogs all over you.
Posted by Brad Miller (Member # 2) on 09-18-2004, 12:57 PM:
There is only one thing you need to do to be accepted. Read the FAQ and rules pages. There is a link at the top of every forum page. Once you do that, you will see why your subject title is against policy and also learn how to fix it before I come back and lock this topic.
Posted by Jennifer Pan (Member # 2035) on 09-18-2004, 01:29 PM:
Also, being legal(or at least turning legal) gets the horndogs going.
BTW, welcome.
Posted by Samantha Mendez (Member # 2710) on 09-18-2004, 03:50 PM:
Ahhh! This whole.. fixing the subject is confusing. I'll get used to it I guess.
Oh, I'm 19. Legal!
Girls gone wild anyone?
Posted by Ron Yost (Member # 1850) on 09-18-2004, 03:55 PM:
I'm changing my post! Girls gone wild, indeed.
Welcome, Samantha!

Samantha - you have to send your member picture to Brad for posting, but you can still upload pictures for the message area by using the "upload" button over there on the left. So go ahead already!

Oh, and BTW .. where are these 'over 21' women anyhow?
Uh, hello? I'm alive here... Gracia, when shes actually around, is also over 21.

Brad, do you know if there is a problem with the pic I sent you for my profile?
Posted by Brad Miller (Member # 2) on 09-18-2004, 07:18 PM:
Member pictures haven't been updated for awhile, and won't be for at least another couple of weeks. Since they have to be manually coded in, I generally make an afternoon out of it once I get a reasonable quantity in.
Posted by Ron Yost (Member # 1850) on 09-18-2004, 07:51 PM:
I apologize, Rachel. Didn't mean to offend you. Of course you are. I'm sorry. I always think of you .. you're one of my favorite people here. I'm just a scallywag, I guess.
Ron Yost .. trying, probably without success, to get hizself outa' this one! *squirm* Would a big bouquet help?? How bout a

How about I just bend over and you can do your worst?? I'm used to it!! Go ahead! I can take it .. I think.

Samantha,
Welcome!
Most of us here fit the loner, or more like the highly independant catagory!
If you have any trouble here, just give me a shout and it will be taken care of.
Warning, read all post by Richard G. before falling in to his little trap!

You're all so welcoming!

I'm still considering posting a picture on here.. I need to take some new ones anyway.

Well, I'll let Phil take over for me on that one...I think he'd like it. Plus, I'm only 24, I'm not THAT legal!

My sexy guitar.
There's a picture.

That's a start.

While there are certainly many perverts on this site, myself included, you will only get "horn dogs" all over you if you constantly entice them. If that is your thing then go right ahead, but you dont have to act slutty to get people here to like you.

Those strings are just aching to be fingerpicked ...
What, what were we talking about? Oh. Nevermind.
Welcome, Samantha. It's nice to have another guitar player around.

Welcome Samantha! You're not alone any more..... now you've got plenty of others to mingle with here on this site. BTW: Being from the Chicago burbs myself I've been to Braidwood/Coal City zillions of times to go Scuba Diving and swimming in many of the quarries. Some are intersting with lots of fish amd some are literal mudholes....

Welcome Samantha!! One word of advice, stay away from Greco...and Phil.....and Joe....and Chris.....and Brad.....and anyone who has "Film God" or "Butt God" by their name. They cant be trusted. I'm the only one who can.

Are you/were you a projectionist? My theatre in my known history had 1 female projectionist, I like to see them take a role in that. Of course she was like 4'1" and had to use a stool to thread the top platter. Ehehehe.

I think the key thing here is fishy

Me too .. fishy. Troll-like. A trojan horse. Just doesn't add up.
I'm thinking someone is 'having us on', as they say in Great Britain, and it's too early for April fools.
Used to happen a lot in the 'old days' of moderated IRC when people got pissed at the mods.

Yes.
Isn't being a hair stylist [tobe] art?
Posted by Chris Hipp (Member # 1788) on 09-19-2004, 10:01 PM:
If there is someone trying to "have us on" couldn't Brad jsut check the IP logs and see if there are two members logging in from the same location?
Posted by Jennifer Pan (Member # 2035) on 09-19-2004, 10:08 PM:
Unless it's from 2 different locations.
Posted by Michael Schaffer (Member # 1204) on 09-19-2004, 10:20 PM:
My theory is Samantha is really Mark Gulbrandsen living out his sensitive, female side. He chose the location of his childhood as "her" location - that was what gave him away.
Posted by Rachel Gilardi (Member # 1016) on 09-19-2004, 10:52 PM:
Uh, everyone here knows I'm going to school to be a hair stylist right? Just a comment...
Posted by Steve Kraus (Member # 476) on 09-19-2004, 10:55 PM:
No. Not a bad idea. Decent money can be made and you can probably find employment just about anywhere.
May I suggest the movie Grease if you require inspiration?

I was wondering how someone could just say that Dr. Kraus was their husband. I'm thinking 'someone' is thinking about themselves a little .... much.

Probably the same way some people just declare that they're virgins again after a while, or give themselves nicknames. Makes sense in their head, but to the rest of the world...not so much.
Posted by Steve Kraus (Member # 476) on 09-19-2004, 11:12 PM:
Hey the position is open to whoever drags me to the altar first.
Helpful hint: Shotgun totin' fathers of the brides speed things up considerable like.
Posted by Greg Davis (Member # 2687) on 09-20-2004, 01:00 AM:
I hear great things about Illinois, and even greater things about hair. This is getting sweeter by the minute. I am currently wearing some sweet shades, because I too am cool. BTW sunday was the international "talk like a pirate" day, upping worldly coolness to around a seven.
WHICH brings me to my point. how/why does a hair stylist find this site? I found a letter written by an admin (i think brad
) in a can that explained proper breakdown techniques, and I was so stoked that someone is trying to get people to break movies down right i had to check it out seeing as I have been down that unfortunate road many times. How 'bout you?
Ps yes its really late.

Both Steve and Sam's posts were (are) from the same CIDR block.
I always knew Steve liked 'em young!

I found this site because I was working in a theater and someone told me another techer wrote some nasty stuff about my theater at the time. I came to peek and I said my peace, the guy who wrote shit about my theater became one of my best friends!
I've worked at four theaters over a 10 year span, I was laid off from my last theater and couldn't find anymore management positions in the area. I would still LOVE to be in a theater but... jobs are sparse around here and school was open. The two things I always wanted to do was theater management and cosmetology, I've done the first and now I'm trying the second.

Curses...foiled by the damn CIDR block. I told the wife to stick with classfull IP addressing but no...
Young? Call it maturity level matching.

Posted by Daryl C. W. O'Shea (Member # 1303) on 09-20-2004, 05:05 PM:

What is a CIDR block, Is that where they collect the apples? Serious question though, I dont knwo what it is.
