Reason I am asking is because I played around with the DVD to set up some DVD screenings and I wondered if it was originally flat or scope.
I don't mean the recent "vs.Alien" thing, but the original starring the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger

Predator was shot in 1.37:1 but blown up to 1.85:1

How do you blow up 1.37 to 1.85? The only way I could see that being done would be by cropping top and bottom...which is basically how any 1.85 movie is shot.
